In 1994 Jack Frost broke into the heavy metal music scene with his band Frostbite. Known for their tight songwriting, killer guitar riffs and memorable melodies, it did not take long for Frostbite to be sharing the stage with bands like Warrior Soul, Kix, Slaughter, Overkill and Fates Warning. Frostbite released Icy Hell in 1994, Secret Admirer in 1996 and Carousel in 1997. Icy Hell was co-produced by Cinderella guitarist Jeff Lebar.
After Jack’s three Frostbite albums, he began to pursue a heavier direction and formed Seven Witches. Seven Witches became an instant juggernaut in the music scene and has released seven albums: Second War in Heaven, City of Lost Souls, Xiled to Infinity and One, Passage to the Other Side, Year of the Witch, Amped and Deadly Sins. Because of Jack’s song writing talents and innovative guitar riffs, he has had the privilege of working with first class musicians in Seven Witches including, Bobby Lucas, Wade Black (Crimson Glory), Alan Tecchio (Hades, Non-Fiction, Watchtower), James Rivera (Helstar), Joey Vera (Armored Saint, Fates Warning), Kevin Bolembach (Non-Fiction) and Mike LePond (Symphony X). Seven Witches has toured with Overkill, Judas Priest, and Annihilator. Seven Witches released the Year of the Witch DVD in 2006.
Jack added to his already prestigious repertoire in 2001 with his contribution to Overkill bass player DD Verni’s second project, The Bronx Casket Company. Jack showed his creativity and versatility in Bronx Casket Co., bringing his guitar playing to a darker yet still heavy level. Bronx Casket Co. has released three albums since 1999.
In between Jack’s main projects, he has worked with some of the best musicians in heavy metal, many which are featured on Jack’s two solo albums Out in the Cold and Raise your Fist to Metal. Guest musicians on these albums include Ted Poley( Danger Danger), Neil Turbin (Anthrax), Alan Tecchio (Hades), MikeDuda (WASP), Joey Vera (Armored Saint, Fates Warning), Joe Comeau (Annihilator), Bobby Lucas (Seven Wtiches), and Rob Rock.
Massacre Records recording artist SPEEED enlisted the talents of Jack for their Powertrip Pigs album. Alongside Jack, SPEEED features members of legendary metal band Annihilator. Because of his easy going nature and ability to quickly learn songs and adapt to new situations, Jack was asked to tour with German power metal band, Metalium. The tour went so well, Jack recorded guitars for the album State of Triumph: Chapter Two. While on the tour to support this album Metalium shot a DVD in which Jack is prominently featured.
In 2001, Jack was asked to join Savatage on their Poets and Madmen tour. Jack’s energy and enthusiasm can be seen in footage of Savatage headlining major European Festivals such as Bang Your Head. During this time, Savatage was asked to tour as special guest of Judas Priest on the Demolition tour. After this, Savatage continued to headline the Poets and Madmen tour in North America and Brazil. Jack received much acclaim for his live performances with Savatage and was well liked by the fans.
Following his stint with Savatage, Jack performed with Chris Volz of Flaw, metal cult classic, Lizzy Borden and Joey Belladonna, singer of legendary thrash metal band, Anthrax. Jack’s performance with Lizzy Borden is featured on the Metal Blade 25th Anniversary DVD.
Because he is a fan as well as a musician himself, Jack has been featured on many tribute albums including tributes to WASP, Accept, Dio, and the Scorpions, as well as making guest appearances on CDs from Ted Poley, Bob Rock and Terry Ilous.
